Take the Black podcast: Game of Thrones 2016, a year in review

facebooktwitterreddit

Welcome back to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, our panel was short two beloved members, Ani and Corey, but WiC editor Dan Selcke stepped in to fill the gap, and we had loads of fun, as usual.

Our topic this week: the year of Game of Thrones in review, with discussions revolving around everything from the build-up to Season 6 all the way through to the most recent Season 7 filming news. Some of the talking points:

  • The unstoppable hype train that preceded the Season 6 premiere.
  • Jon Snow’s crazy adventure back from the dead.
  • We each discuss our favorite twist or big reveal from the season.
  • Which episode of Season 6 was our favorite?
  • Which actor or actress from Season 6 was robbed during awards season?
  • What are we most looking forward to in Season 7? Which character do we most want to follow?

As usual, Take the Black leans on the NSFW side (beware of F-bombs). Towards the end of the hour-and-a-half (this one lasts a while), we briefly touch on SPOILERS for Game of Thrones Season 7, so please proceed with caution.

Don’t forget: Take the Black is now on iTunes! Please subscribe, comment, and download from there if you can. You can also hear us on Soundcloud.
