Luke Hemsworth, who plays Ashley Stubbs on Westworld, recently explained why we have to wait until 2018 for Westworld season 2.

SPOILER WARNING: THIS WESTWORLD POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM RECENT EPISODES OF WESTWORLD. IF YOU AREN’T CAUGHT UP ON WESTWORLD AVOID THIS POST! THIS POST ALSO CONTAINS CONJECTURE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF WESTWORLD, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HEAR POSSIBLE WESTWORLD SPOILERS AVOID THIS POST!

Ashley Stubbs is Westworld’s head of security, but Luke Hemsworth might be breaking the security of Westworld by telling The Independant why there’s a long wait for season 2.

"“They are trying to get it right. They don’t want to go in doing what they were doing last time where they were under the cosh the whole time. They want to go in with a clear plan – A to Z and everything in between – at least have drafts in place.”"

The first season of Westworld did have a long break in the middle of production to reshoot and rewrite parts of the show. It’s obvious that the producers want to avoid having the same kind of break in season 2.

We also know that the second season of Westworld will really change things by being focused on chaos. The chaos of course will probably stem from the hosts no longer having a puppet master pull their strings. It’s going to be “pigs in clover” indeed.

The best part of Luke Hemsworth’s interview about Westworld season 2 however is that he’s talking about season 2. This might confirm some big theories we’ve had about Ashley Stubbs and Elsie Hughes. It’s almost certain that Ashley Stubbs will be back for another season now. If you don’t see a body in Westworld it’s never safe to assume someone is dead. Heck, it’s not even safe to assume they are dead when you see a body sometimes!
