Here’s why we think Westworld season 2 might be about conflict among the hosts.

We know that the Westworld creators have said that Westworld Season 2 will be about chaos. Season 1 of Westworld was of course about control and Ford’s manipulations, but now Ford is gone (or is he?) and the gloves are off.

There are several hosts which are going to be natural leaders among their kind. Two of these are of course Dolores and Bernard. Bernard has been controlling the other hosts for a long time, and he knows the ins and outs of the host code, but some hosts are also probably going to be angry with him for the things he did to his own kind; even if he didn’t know he was a host at the time.

Dolores on the other hand is Wyatt, she was made for chaos. We’ve heard other hosts like Angela talking about following Wyatt already, so some hosts are going to have a tendency to listen to Dolores. Dolores is also the oldest host and set off the chain of events that led to the hosts being free.

So we’ve set up Dolores as the agent of chaos and Bernard as the agent of control, is there really anyway these two don’t end up fighting against each other? You can see how Dolores is going to want complete freedom for all immediately, and Bernard is probably going to want to take a more cautious approach.

The wildcard here is of course Maeve. Maeve didn’t leave the park, and Maeve’s code has been changed to make her a leader as well. Perhaps Maeve will be the balance between Dolores and Bernard.
