David Tennant Wants Olivia Coleman to Play the Thirteenth Doctor

Everyone seems to be giving their two cents about who should play the Doctor and now David Tennant has proposed it be Olivia Coleman.

The stars of Doctor Who are coming out in droves today to pitch who they think should play the thirteenth Doctor and David Tennant says Olivia Coleman! For those of you who do not know who Olivia Coleman is, here is her acceptance speech from the 2014 BAFTA awards. And just so you know, it’s not her first award. Not in the slightest.

She is an incredible actress who has been on Doctor Who herself. Remember that creepy lady with the two little girls from “The Eleventh Hour”? Well, that’s Miss Coleman! She also has worked with Tennant on Broadchurch and is one of the most amazing British actresses around today.

And out of all the pitches, she is probably one of the only ones that really makes sense. She’s known for doing television work and she has already appeared on the series in a small role. And we have seen from all her work that she’s definitely talented enough for the part.

Plus she comes David Tennant approved. So who knows, maybe that’d open the door for a Doctor meets Doctor mash-up. It’d be lovely to see. Get all of the recent Doctors back to fight along side Coleman? Then everyone is happen!

There really isn’t a downfall to this casting either. Everyone else seemed to have a schedule that would prevent it or they weren’t right but Coleman is actually a perfect fit. Here’s to hoping they’ll listen to David.
