Paul McGann Suggests that Tilda Swinton Replace Capaldi as the Doctor

Everyone is currently buzzing about who should be the next Doctor but now Paul McGann threw his choice into the ring. And it’s Tilda Swinton!

Paul McGann, who played the 8th Doctor, is a fan favorite. He didn’t get the writing he should have and his Doctor is one that people wish we could have seen more of. But he loves Doctor Who and he makes sure to show his support of the show.

And now he’s thrown his pick into the internet for who he wants to play the Doctor next. For lucky number thirteen, McGann has picked Tilda Swinton! The chameleon actress has been known for her ability to play anything and everything under the sun. Remember her work in Trainwreck? No one believed it was her!

So she’d be a pretty great regeneration of the Time Lord. But she is a big movie star, who knows if she’d want to do Doctor Who?

We still have a season and a Christmas special with Peter Capaldi’s twelfth Doctor but that doesn’t stop the conversation. Everyone wants to know who is going to take over the mantle and personally, I’m hoping it’s a man of color or a woman.

While the show has done well with white men leading it, it is time for a change. Literally. The Doctor is changing so why not let a woman or not the typical cookie-cutter white man take it on?
