Seven Game of Thrones characters who would make good presidents
By Corey Smith
1. Davos Seaworth
Davos is a man of the highest character, one of unwavering loyalty. Davos inspires those around him and makes them better, a very important factor when choosing a president.
Perhaps even more importantly, Davos does not seek out power. He’s interested in power for its ability to make things better for the general populace, but not for it’s own sake. Davos is just trying to make the world a better place for himself, his family, and everyone else. As president, I believe Davos’ selfless attitude would drive the former smuggler to consider only the higher good, not his legacy.
Once Davos believes in a cause, the man does not know how to fail. Davos pulled Stannis’ bid for the Iron Throne from the brink of failure by convincing the Iron Bank to fund his campaign. Likewise, after Jon Snow’s return from the dead, Davos was there to bring Jon’s focus back, and to set him back on the path of righteousness.
Unlike any of the others on our list, Davos lacks any major flaw. He’s managed large campaigns, has a strong moral compass, and does not maintain any vices. I name Ser Davos of House Seaworth the most worthy potential president in the Seven Kingdoms.
