25) NATALIE DORMER
Natalie Dormer did a superb job as Margaery Tyrell, a highbrow gold digger attempting to seduce her way to the Iron Throne. Also famous for her similar turn as the conniving Anne Boleyn in The Tudors (2007-2010), Dormer wants to avoid being typecast, as she told Nylon in 2014: “I must have a variation on resting bitch face, like, maybe I have resting manipulative face, through no fault of my own.”
Dormer has also starred in a number of high-profile films, including as Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part II (she starred alongside Thrones castmate Gwendoline Christie in that one), Pvt. Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Charlie in The Riot Club (2014) and Sara/Jess Price in The Forest (2016). She’s also well known for her roles on TV, including Elementary (2013-2015), The Fades (2011) and Silk (2011).
One of Dormer’s first roles was as the porcelain-complected Victoria in Casanova (2005). The quality of her performance got her a three-picture deal with Disney/Touchstone.
Dormer’s career has skyrocketed since the explosion of the Sept of Baelor. Watch for her to appear in three films: The Professor and the Madman, Patient Zero (with Thrones alumni David Bradley) and In Darkness, plus the TV mini-series Picnic at Hanging Rock, in 2017.
