34) CHARLES DANCE
As one of the most elegant of Game of Thrones bad guys, Tywin Lannister was both smooth and dark. Actor Charles Dance talked about Game of Thrones fans in an interview with The Telegraph in 2013:
"I’ve done a couple of fan conventions and [the fans] are legion. They’re rather like Star Wars or Star Trek fans. We’re very glad of the loyal fans – but it’s a strange way to spend your life, dressing up like Star Wars. At least we change our costumes – I don’t spend 40 years dressed up as Tywin Lannister."
The English-born Dance has played parts in an insane number of movies, starring as Sardo Numspa in The Golden Child (1986), Clemens in Alien 3 (1992, above, with Sigourney Weaver), Raymond Stockbridge in Gosford Park (2001) and Commander Deniston in The Imitation Game (2014). Thrones costar Lena Headey joined him in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies in 2016. His TV credits include stints on The Jewel in the Crown (1994), First Born (1988), Foyle’s War (2002) and Bleak House (2005).
