Talulah Riley Promoted To Regular For Westworld Season 2

Talulah Riley, who plays the host Angela on Westworld, has been promoted to a cast regular for season 2.

The moment many Westworld fans finally got on board with the two timelines theory was when Talulah Riley’s Angela, who greeted William when he first entered Westworld, showed up in the path of Teddy and the man in black. It was a wonderful piece of television seeing a character that you had almost forgotten about suddenly reappear. The experience of the viewer mimicked the experience of the man in black as he too was caught off guard seeing a familiar face.

According to Deadline we now know that Angela will be back in season 2 of Westworld. Will she be the kind face that greeted guests as they arrived or the cold blooded disciple of Wyatt? My money’s on the latter.

Riley’s character Angela was intriguing because she was a host who knew it was all a show. Angela was a host assigned to greeting guests as they got off the train and first entered Westworld. This means Angela at least on some level knew she wasn’t real. This might have played into why she never showed up in another role in the park until the Wyatt storyline. It’s not an easy part to have pulled off, but Talulah Riley did it perfectly.

I’m excited to see more of Angela and understand where this ride is going. Rumors have the second season of Westworld beginning filming sometime at the end of spring or beginning of summer. It’s going to have been a long wait for Westworld fans, but I think the ride is going to be worth it.
