Steven Moffat Promises To ‘Melt Your Brains’ In The New Season Opener

Steven Moffat warned the press they were about to see a huge spoiler and that it’s going to be a huge deal for the series.

Steven Moffat presented the season opener to members of the press recently, and he stood before them with a playful warning. He cautioned, “This is just a public warning. Some people hate spoilers and some people love spoilers – and everybody hates me whatever way they think about it. So this is my last attempt in this role to avoid hatred.”

He’s referring to a few moments at the ending trailer, after the first episode of the upcoming season of Doctor Who. As he stood before the members of the media, it seemed like his main aim was to warn them about the big, huge event that would be spoiled if they kept watching. He actually advised them to close their eyes.

RadioTimes reports that Moffat was adamant about warning the viewers. He told them, “At the end of the episode there will be yet another awesome trailer for Doctor Who

"At the very end of the trailer there is, frankly, an enormous spoiler, a spoiler that may actually melt your brains."

But I promise you, you’d be better off not knowing because awesome though it will be here, it will be even more awesome in a few weeks’ time. So we’re gonna give you the option, in our frankly camp and ridiculous way…”

So… what could the big spoiler be? The recently released trailer hints an earlier regeneration, but is that enough to “melt your brains” as Moffat promises.

The bad news is that we’re just gonna have to shut up and wait, but the good news is that we can (mostly) rely on the fact that fans and audiences with get the same trailer when the premiere airs on April 15th.

You know if Moffat is warning us it’s gonna be good, be better prepare ourselves.
