We run through the cast and crew members from Game of Thrones who have visited that galaxy far far away.

The 2017 Star Wars Celebration began yesterday with a very special 40th Anniversary panel. Star Wars icons like Mark Hamill, Hayden Christensen, Anthony Daniels and Harrison Ford came on stage and answered questions posed by Wickett the Ewok himself, Warwick Davis. There was also a special tribute to the late Carrie Fisher.

Before she passed last December, Fisher finished her work on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as well as some scenes for the as-yet untitled Star Wars: Episode IX. During her time in the franchise, Fisher worked alongside more than a few Game of Thrones stars. There’s quite a bit of cross-pollination, no doubt in part because Nina Gold is the casting director for both Game of Thrones and the new Star Wars trilogy. Even crew members hop back and forth. For example, Game of Thrones swordmaster C.C. Smiff, the guy who taught Kit Harington to swing a sword, also taught Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) how to wield a lightsaber.

In honor of the Celebration, let’s look at which Game of Thrones stars have crossed over to that galaxy far, far away.
