Game of Thrones meets Star Wars — 12 Actors who appear in both franchises

Ah, Grenn…steadfast to the end, never wavering in his duty to the Night’s Watch and his friend Jon Snow. Mark Stanley played Grenn for years, and while he didn’t get much screentime, he got a moment to shine in season 4’s “The Watchers on the Walls” when he stood tall and stopped Mag the Mighty from breaching the last gate that would have allowed the wildlings access to Castle Black. We shall never see his like again.

But in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Stanley plays a Knight of Ren whom Kylo Ren stabs through the back with a lightsaber in a vision Rey has.

We don’t know exactly why Ren decided to kill one of his own, but it suffices to say Stanley didn’t quite get the memorable sendoff in Star Wars that he got on Game of Thrones.
