Davos and Tyrion sneak into King’s Landing

One of the major things we were promised in season 7 was that characters who had never met before would interact. As it ends up, two such characters will go on a trip together: Davos Seaworth and Tyrion Lannister.

After meeting on Dragonstone, they’ll sail through Blackwater Bay and land in nearby King’s Landing, an area they both know very well. (We wonder if Davos will bring up the time Tyrion exploded his son with wildfire.) While there, they get involved in an action scene. It plays out like this:

• Davos runs into two gold cloaks who ask him some questions.
• Apparently, Davos’ answers are not satisfactory, because there’s a disagreement.
• The gold cloaks start escorting Davos away.
• Before they get much further, another character comes along and saves Davos by smacking the Gold Cloaks with a giant hammer.
• Davos, Tyrion, and the third character all escape in a boat.
