This year’s San Deigo Comic-Con kicks off on July 20, and retailers are readying their Game of Thrones-themed merchandise for the fans. Factory Entertainment, for example, has these dragon plush dolls on deck…
…as well as this Hand of the Queen bottle opener.
Not to be outdone, Titan Entertainment is getting some choice items ready. The theme: fun with light. First, there’s this oddly adorable vinyl figure of the Night King, featuring translucent skin.
Titan also has a new Drogon figure. Since dragons are fire made flesh, it glows in the dark.
These figures are exclusive to SDCC, so you’ll have to swing by the Titans Comics booth to pick them up “while supplies last.”
And Titan isn’t the only company in the Game of Thrones merch game. Funko is readying several new figurines to be rolled over the next couple of months, starting with Funko Pop! figures modeled after Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton as they appeared in the Battle of the Bastards.
Those little guys are due out in July. After that, in August, Funko will release several dolls in the Dorbz series, which are like the normal Pop! Vinyl figures but even more hyperbolically adorable:
Even Cersei is smiling. What’s your issue, Jon Snow?
Funko will round out its new line on Dorbz figures with a Melisandre doll, one in six of which will glow red!
Finally, Funko will release Rock Candy figures modeled after Brienne of Tarth and season 1-era Daenerys Targaryen.
These lil’ gals are also out in August.
And as long as we’re talking about merch, have you taken a look at some of the swag on the HBO Shop lately? There’s a spiffy new Targaryen wine glass on offer…
…and a tee-shirt with the official season 7 logo on it.
Wear that for an easy way to freak out your coworkers.
But the best piece of official HBO Store merch to come out of season 6 is probably still the House Mormont wine glass.
This item says: “I’m classy, but I will kill you with a shield to the brain if I have to.
Next: Con of Thrones, a massive Game of Thrones fan convention, is coming this weekend!
Just think: a few months from now, companies will have a whole new set of images and scenes on which to model their Game of Thrones merchandise. It’ll be a brave new world.
