Video: Sophie Turner, John Bradley, Rory McCann and more tease season 7

A while back, the Game of Thrones cats members embarked on a round of press interviews to promote Game of Thrones season 7. Now, some of those interviews are coming to light. For example, check out a video roundup of SKYcable’s sit-downs with the likes of Sophie Turner, Liam Cunningham,  Aidan Gillen and more.

We’re hearing a lot of what we’ve heard before about season 7, with Turner saying that it’s about the “emerging rulers” preparing to “fight for the throne” and that there are “a lot of meetups…it feels like the world is getting much much smaller now.”

“You want to give fans more of what they’ve come to expect,” says John Bradley (Sam Tarly), “but enough twists and complications in there that they’re never comfortable.” And according to Aidan Gillen, part of giving fans what they want includes more cinematic spectacles on the level of the Battle of the Bastards.

Buzzfeed posted a video roundup of its own, with considerably sillier questions. Who’s the biggest prankster on set? Which cast member do the other actors most like to impersonate? Who most often shows up to work hung over? Watch on for the answers.

And if you’re at work and can’t watch, the answers are, in order: Rory McCann (the Hound), Jon Snow, and this great answer from Sophie Turner: “I’ll just say myself. It’s not true…I just don’t want to expose all the drunkards on set.”

There’s also an interesting moment at the top of the video where Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) nearly reveals something he shouldn’t. The question: Who’s most likely to brighten everyone’s day? “Oh, I was just about to do a spoiler,” he says, hand over his mouth. “I was so close the name.” Might it be the name of someone we’re not supposed to know is back? Make of that what you will.

Buzzfeed has more questions and answers on its website. A sampling:

  • Q: Who’s most likely to show up late to set? Sophie Turner: “Alfie [Allen]” (Theon). He’s apparently also the most likely to photobomb a picture and the most likely to initiate a post-work hangout. Guy gets around.
  • Q: Who’s most likely to get every take right? Rory McCann: “I remember in the past Maisie always got it right. I always got it wrong. She was the clever clogs. She kept me right.”
  • Q: Who’s the best dancer? Turner: “Maisie. Or Kit [Harington]!” And then she imitated Harington’s little shuffle dance.

Season 7 airs on July 16. It’s so close we can taste it!
