Game of Thrones: The Exhibition is returning this Fall

This fall, those wanting to visit the lands of Westeros and Essos will get the chance when Game of Thrones: The Exhibition begins a world tour. A joint venture between HBO and GES, the exhibition will feature props, costumes, and decorations from the show, and will fans on a tour through sets based on “the North, Meereen, Castle Black, and the Iron Throne Room of King’s Landing, among others.” Sounds like fun. Just watch out for wildlings.

HBO Global licensing director Jeff Peters was particularly enthused about the project:

"Based on the stellar work GES has done with previous entertainment partners, we think this exhibition is going to be something fans will love, regardless of which part of the world they call home, and we’re excited to give them the opportunity to visit and celebrate the incredible craftsmanship of the talented Game of Thrones production team."

HBO has previously hosted exhibitions of this sort, and it sounds like this one may be the biggest yet. HBO describes it as “a unique mix of immersive environments, interactives, and multimedia content.” And if attendees get bored with that stuff, they can always play with the weapons. Our choice would be Khal Drogo’s arakh.

No official dates have been announced, but the tour will kick off in Europe.
