History

10-year-old Lyanna Mormont exploded onto the scene in Game of Thrones season 6, when Jon, Sansa, and Davos asked her for fighting men to help take down the Boltons. Although very young, Lyanna is the head of House Mormont, a position she attained after most of her older relatives died fighting in the War of the Five Kings. She’s a no-nonsense type of of leader, and had no qualms with telling Jon and Sansa off when they started to talk down to her. Thank goodness Davos knows how to talk to pre-teen girls.

However tough she was during negotiations, Lyanna Mormont pledged her men to Jon and Sansa’s cause. After Team Stark won the Battle of the Bastards, Lyanna was the first person in the Great Hall to declare Jon Snow the King in the North. The other lords, ashamed that this little girl was so much more badass than them, quickly joined the chorus.

Lyanna is currently at Winterfell with everyone else who helped win the Battle of the Bastards. Considering that she basically made Jon Snow the King in the North, she’ll probably have his ear when it comes to strategy. And with her reputation for straight-shooting, who wouldn’t want her giving them advice?
