Last week, the first episode of Game of Thrones season 7 — “Dragonstone” — pulled in the highest live ratings for any episode in the history of the show: 10.1 million people. Now, Zap2It reports that “Stormborn,” the second episode of the season, pulled in 9.27 million viewers, which makes it the second highest-rated episode int he history of the show. Basically, HBO should be very happy.

Not that we’re shocked, but Game of Thrones seems to be rather on a roll, ratings-wise. The show has gotten more popular every year since its inception, and that trend is continuing. Can it break 15 million live viewers by the end of its run? Why not reach for the stars?

Game of Thrones is helping HBO’s bottom line is less obvious ways, too. According to Tech Crunch, over 500,000 people downloaded the app for HBO Now, the network’s over-the-top streaming service, in the week since the premiere. It outsold all other apps save for Candy Crush Saga and Clash of Clans, and tripled in revenue on the day of the premiere.

Hell, Variety even reports that a recent Game of Thrones-themed Snapchat lens that let users turn themselves into White Walkers broke records for a TV-sponsored filter, with 45 million people posting or viewing the selfies and earning 122 million impressions.

Good and creepy.

To what other heights can Game of Thrones soar? We’ll find out together.
