The latest episode of Game of Thrones, “The Queen’s Justice,” was packed full of Easter Eggs and callbacks to earlier seasons of the show, as per usual. Let’s take a look at some.

Let’s start with the obvious stuff: Jon and Tyrion’s meeting on the beach harkened back to the last time they saw each, way back in “Lord Snow,” the third episode of the series.

"Tyrion: “The Bastard of Winterfell.”Jon: “The Dwarf of Casterly Rock.Tyrion: “I believe we last saw each other atop the Wall.”Jon: “You were pissing off the edge if I remember right.”"

Elsewhere, Redditor slidebox reminded us of why it’s so hard for the King in the North, Jon Snow, to bend the knee to Daenerys. Well, at least this is one of the reasons.

"[Everything] You can never be a kneeler again. from gameofthrones"

Once a wildling, always a wildling, eh?

Moving on to people you may recognize, Redditor Lord_Burgess told the story of one spectacularly bearded extra who’s turned up again and again over the past few seasons. He was a guy in Stannis’ camp, he was at the Battle of the Bastards, and now he’s at Winterfell.

"[MAIN SPOILERS] The Soldier who keeps fighting lives on?? from gameofthrones"

It looks like he’s a guy who was with Stannis, survived the battle against the Boltons, and joined up with Jon. I wonder if he’ll ever get a name.

In other extra news, did you recognize the handmaiden who saw Cersei and Jaime in bed together, the one who was had Cersei’s exact haircut and neckline?

Her name is Bernadette, she’s played by Sara Dylan, and she’s been in six episodes of the show. She first appeared in episode 207, “A Man Without Honor,” when she was running to tell Cersei about Sansa getting her first period before Shae put a knife to her throat.

If you recognized the Dothraki guy rocking the heavy guyliner — the one who took Jon Snow’s weapons on the beach at Dragonstone — then you weren’t alone.

The actor’s name is Staz Nair. His character is named Qhono, and he first showed up in season 6 as one of the Dothraki who was rather rude to Daenerys on her way to Vaes Dothrak.

Then, in “Book of the Stranger,” he changed his tune when Dany stepped out of the flames after burning down the Temple of the Dosh Khaleen.

And now he’s intimidating Northern kings for her. How things change.

Fans have noticed some contrasts in how the different rulers of Westeros manage their kingdoms.

Maybe it’s time to leave Sansa alone.

Meanwhile, @JonWinterfall highlights Jon’s reluctance to name himself a Stark.

Not that Drogon is fooled.

Remember back in season 6 when Tyrion told Missandei and Grey Worm that “A wise man once said a true history of the world is a history of great conversations in elegant rooms”? Missandei asked him who said that. Tyrion’s answer: “Me. Just now.”

In “The Queen’s Justice,” Tyrion strikes again, but Dany calls him out on it.

"Tyrion: “A wise man once said that you should never believe a thing just because you want to believe it.”Daenerys: “Are you trying to present your own statements as ancient wisdom?”Tyrion: “I would never do that … to you.”"

Sticking with Tyrion, he used his old pal Bronn’s line when talking about breaking into Casterly Rock. “Give me 10 good men and some climbing spikes,” Bronn replied. “I’ll impregnate the bitch.”

This next little nugget is a bit of a stretch, pun intended. When Cersei has Tyene and Ellaria Sand tied up in the dungeon, they’re bound such that they can’t quite reach each other.

That echoes how the Mad King killed Ned Stark’s father and brother, Rickard and Brandon Stark. The Mad King burned Rickard Stark alive in the Red Keep Throne Room. Brandon Stark was tied to a strangulation device that prevented him from reaching his father. Another parallel between Cersei and the Mad King.

Another obvious one: Jaime Lannister learned a thing or two from that one time Robb Stark at the Whispering Wood back in season 1. He used the same deception to take Highgarden.

Finally, Lady Olenna summoned her inner Hound when discussing Joffrey.

A wise woman.
