The “Eastwatch” trailer opens with Daenerys and Drogon on the high ground overlooking a tide of defeated Lannister soldiers.

“I’m not here to murder,” the merciful Daenerys announces. Her Dothraki allies, their weapons dripping with fresh Lannister blood, stand in support. Tyrion is also there, on the far left of the screen.

Daenerys wants to be a leader for everyone, saying “Bend the knee and join me. Or refuse, and die.”

Tyrion looks disturbed at his queen’s hardline stance.

Did Dany have a point when she questioned his lingering loyalty to the Lannisters?

The music picks up as we see the scorched loot train on the battlefield, now covered in a coat of ash.

Back at Dragonstone, probably, Varys counsels Tyrion about Dany. “You need to find a way to make her listen.”

Tyrion sips wine, looking weary. Is he losing faith in his beloved Dany and/or himself? Is his attachment to his Lannister bloodline stronger than he suspected? Is it all enough to drive him back to the bottle? But, like, harder than usual?

Daenerys is on the warpath, following her own instincts. She’s always had dragons, but now she’s not afraid to use them.

Fade up on the flying Rhaegal. We hear Cersei’s voice: “Whatever stands in our way …”

Jon observes something impressive in the sky, likely Daenerys on Drogon.

Yeah, it’s Daenerys and Drogon. Daenerys has to be feeling more sure of herself since her rout of Jaime Lannister’s forces. No sight of him in the trailer, by the way.

Cut to Cersei, continuing her line: “… we will defeat it.” Cersei is always going to be sure of herself, no matter what.

Cersei and Qyburn huddling up is never a good thing for their enemies.
