Tourism Ireland adds scenes from “The Spoils of War” to its Game of Thrones Tapestry

Every week, Tourism Ireland weaves new scenes from Game of Thrones into its devastatingly beautiful GoT Tapestry, an elaborate project that aims to tell the story of the show in the form of a sprawling, gorgeous, Bayeux-style tapestry. Take a look at the scenes from “The Queen’s Justice,” the third episode of this season, below:

A tapestry is just the perfect idea for a show like Game of Thrones — everything look so medieval. Here’s a video of “Queen’s Justice” scenes being added:

And Tourism Ireland is far from done. For “The Spoils of War,” it’s weaved perhaps its most impressive panel yet. Watch a time-lapse video of its creation below:

For this episode, Tourism Ireland focused entirely on the Loot Train Attack, from Jaime charging into an open flame on the left to Drogon dominating the center to the Dothraki breaking the Lannister lines on the right. It’s a huge, splashy panel that stands out from the other ones we’ve seen so far.

To see the tapestry in more glorious detail, head to Tourism Ireland’s website — in addition to scenes from season 7, the GoT Tapestry features notable moments from the whole series. And if you want to see this masterpiece-in-the-making for yourself, it’s on display at the Ulster Museum in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
