The penultimate episode of Game of Thrones season 7 may not have a title yet, but a good chunk of fans have already seen it. Yes, there’s been another Game of Thrones leak.
This time, the leak came from within HBO itself — HBO Spain and HBO Nordic both accidentally uploaded the episode to their services for “a brief time,” which was all it took. According to HBO, “The error appears to have originated with a third party vendor and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognized.” Before this, the fourth episode of season 7 — “The Spoils of War” — leaked after employees of a company associated with airing the show in India stole data and uploaded it to the internet.
I’m not gonna lie: it’s grimly funny that, even though HBO suffered a massive cyber-attack recently, the people behind that particular act of digital larceny haven’t leaked any episodes — those have all come from people within HBO or associated with HBO. I mean, I’m sure HBO doesn’t find that funny, but maybe in time…? At least this leak isn’t likely to affect their ratings, at least not if what happened with “Spoils” is any indication.
We will not be posting any leaked material here. However, if you’ve seen the episode and want to talk about it, you can do so below. To clarify, the comments section of this article is a SPOILER-FRIENDLY ZONE. If you don’t want to know spoilers, it’s best not to venture further down the page.
Please confine your discussion of this episode to this post and respect those who haven’t watched the episode and want to wait until Sunday.
