Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “Beyond the Wall”
By Corey Smith
This is a great shot of our heroes from the wights’ point of view.
All these blue eyes staring back at our heroes are so damn creepy.
No, that’s not a wight. It’s Gendry collapsing right outside Eastwatch.
Davos and the Night’s Watch to the rescue!
This whole sequence reminded me of how the first marathon came about. Read the origin here. At the very least, you’ll leave just a bit smarter.
Back to our boys, who are still stuck on that damn rock outcropping. Another great wide shot.
It appears we are down one hero, though, as Thoros has frozen to death during the night. A fire priest freezing to death. Who’d have thought?
The Hound has a drink for his fallen homie.
And Beric burns his body. Damn, that’s cold.
Are the White Walkers all holding ice missiles? What might they need those for?
Back at Winterfell, Sansa receives a letter a from King’s Landing. We assume it’s from Tyrion, inviting her to attend the summit meeting being planned.
Sansa orders Brienne to go to King’s Landing on her behalf as she burns some documents. Was that her marriage license to Ramsay? Seems Sansa is taking no chances after Arya found the Joffrey letter.
Brienne objects, but off she goes. Also, marvel at the great hall on Winterfell.
This glance from Sansa left us feeling… uneasy.
Dragons sleeping. Awe.
This is one of the few instances where you can tell the coloration differences in the dragons. Also, I’m pretty sure that’s the bone of a dragon snack on the left.
Look at those Dolce and Gabana duds Dany is rocking all of a sudden. Love.
These shots of Tyrion watching as the dragons fly off to rescue Jon were both exhilarating and somehow sad.
