Valar Morghulis: Who’s most likely to die in “The Dragon and the Wolf”?
By Corey Smith
33-43. Red-Wedding surprised
We would stake our life that these characters make it through “The Dragon and the Wolf”
33. Archmaester Ebrose: 10%. We wonder if we will see the Citadel again this season, and if we do, we sort of hope Ebrose caught greyscale.
34. Nymeria: 10%. We can’t have two weeks in a row with an animal death, can we?
35. Jon Snow: 9%. Jon survived the Night King’s attack at the frozen lake, but now faces Cersei in the Dragonpit. Can someone give this guy a vacation?
36. Ghost: 8%. We hope Jon stops by Winterfell, just so we can see if his direwolf is still alive. For crying out loud, we’ve seen Edmure Tully more recently.
37. Samwell Tarly: 7%. Where might Samwell be headed after leaving the Citadel? Winterfell seems the most likely destination. He’d be safe there…for the moment.
38. Gilly (and little Sam): 6%. Considering her knowledge of Jon’s parentage, Gilly is one of the most important characters on the show right now. And therefore safe.
39. Lyanna Mormont: 5%. We want one more scene with Lyanna Mormont this season. Is that too much to ask?
40. Meera Reed: 4%. Meera is safe and secure in Greywater Watch by now. And no one has any reason to want her dead.
41. Zombie Viserion: 4%. The Night King is probably going to want to take his new ride out for a spin, but the show probably won’t kill their new toy so soon after getting him.
42. Bran Stark: 4%. Bran can see all, including — we assume — the moment of his death. We have the same power, and say Bran makes it to season 8.
43. Arya Stark: 3%. Arya’s got eyes in the back of her head now thanks to the Faceless Men. It’s very hard to get the drop on her
44. The Night King: 1%. As if we didn’t hate him enough, we can now add Viserion’s murder to the list of horrible stuff he’s done. And we don’t think he’ll finish his terrorism of mankind in season 7.
Next: George R.R. Martin’s early plans for A Song of Ice and Fire didn’t include dragons
How do you think we did? Who do you think is gonna bite it? Let us know, and we’ll be back to review our picks next Saturday.
