Sam, Gilly and Little Sam have arrived in Winterfell, looking for Jon.

Instead, Sam finds Bran, doing his downloading thing. OR, is Bran looking into the flames like Melisandre? #tinfoil

Bran gives his “I’m the Three Eyed Raven” speech, something he seems to not think is weird at all, and Sam gives us one of the best comedic reactions of the season.

John Bradley should really do more straight comedies.

Bran’s got jokes, too, revealing that he’s learned of Jon’s ride north via a letter delivered by raven, not greensight.

Bran says that Jon was born in Dorne to Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. Sam passes off the note Gilly discovered about their secret wedding as his own discovery, and Bran’s off to the weirwood net to fact-check it.

This is our first glimpse of Rhaegar Targaryen. The hand-wrapping thing is interesting, as we’ve seen it at both of Margaery’s weddings, and at the wedding of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey, but not at either of Sansa’s weddings.

Rhaegar looking a lot like Viserys, which makes sense.

Things are looking rather green in Dorne. Wedding in front of the tree could be a nod to the Northern tradition of wedding in front of a weirwood tree.

Oh, if only their happiness had lasted.

We much prefer this Targaryen symbol to a name plate that says “Dany’s cabin.”

“Knock knock.”

“Yes?”

“Bow chica bow wow? Maybe?”

Tyrion hanging around outside their room is rather creepy. Of course, it’s not as creepy as what’s going on inside.

Jumping to the Tower of Joy, we learn Jon’s real name as he hooks up with Dany. Are we happy to learn Jon’s name? Or grossed out that Jon is banging his aunt? So many emotions.

Clearly, Jon has been working out. Fighting in battles is good for the glutes.

The King in the North hooks up with the Mother of Dragons. Or: an aunt hooks up with her nephew. Multiple ways to look at it.

Tyrion’s still hanging around outside. You KNOW what’s going on, Tyrion. Either put a glass up to the door or go have a glass of beer. Either way: glass.

I love the Targaryen sail. It’s the best sigil of any of the great houses.

Back to Winterfell again, for a scene very similar to the one Jon and Sansa shared at the end of season 6.

Two Stark siblings rehash current events, and cap things off with a quote from Ned Stark.

“You’re still very strange and annoying.” Spoken like a true sister, Sansa.

The rift has been healed.

The camera pans to the rookery of Winterfell, and the heart tree of the godswood.

Clearly fake leaves. Caught you, Game of Thrones.

Bran’s plugged into the internet again. This will probably end well.
