Today, the Game of Thrones cast members are reading through the final three episodes of Game of Thrones season 8, which also means they’re reading through the final three episodes of Game of Thrones. Then there’s a week of rehearsals, and then it’s magic time.
The lot of them are gathered in Belfast, long the production hub for the show. Knowing that, it’s not surprising that a bunch of them have been spotted around the city, but it’s still fun to catalog their appearances, especially because this is the last time we’ll be doing this. So who’s been seen about town?
Below, Isaac Hempstead Wright, the Three-Eyed Raven himself, pals around what looks to be the Titanic Hotel in Belfast:
Elsewhere, there have been sightings of Stark sisters Maisie Williams (Arya) and Sophie Turner (Sansa), although given the intense security measures in place this year, they’re understandably camera-shy.
The dream team of Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) were also seen taking a stroll together:
And while she may not be taking selfies, Emilia Clarke is apparently still making time for random acts of human kindness:
At some point, Bradley fudged the no-selfie rule just a bit:
Okay, there are also a couple of images that may constitute minor SPOILERS. We’ve put them below the blue button. If you don’t want to spoil yourself for season 8, please read no further.
Next: Small Council: Who was the best supporting actor in Game of Thrones season 7?
Alan Smithee ran into two more Game of Thrones actors back for one more run round the block:
It’s no surprise that Iain Glen is back — Jorah Mormont has queens to serve and friendzones to occupy:
It is, however, a little surprising that Kristofer Hivju is in the mix…but not THAT surprising. There’s been some ambiguity about whether he died in the season 7 finale. If he’s showing up for a season 8 table read, he clearly didn’t.
And of course, while the cast reads through the episodes, the crew prepares the sets.
Filming on season 8 is scheduled to begin next week. Here we go.
