Companions for series eleven have finally been announced for Doctor Who. There will be three, including the rumored Bradley Walsh.

There will be three companions joining the Thirteenth Doctor in the TARDIS this series, reminiscent of the Classic Series. They range in age and include diverse ethnic backgrounds. Ready to see who will be joining Jodie Whittaker in the TARDIS? There’s a lot of information, but we’re ready to jump into it!

First, the rumor of Bradley Walsh was correct! He will be joining Jodie Whittaker in the TARDIS along with Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. These three actors will be part of the regular cast starting in series eleven. Mandip will play Yasmin, Tosin will play Kyle, and Bradley will play Graham

Also joining the series in a reoccurring role is Sharon D Clarke. Currently, there’s no information on whether she’ll be a companion or something else.

Also, it has been confirmed that the episodes will be 10, fifty-minute episodes, with a featured hour-length opening episode.

Chris Chibnall made a comment to the BBC, saying:

"“The new Doctor is going to need new friends. We’re thrilled to welcome Mandip, Tosin and Bradley to the Doctor Who family. They’re three of Britain’s brightest talents and we can’t wait to see them dive into brand new adventures with Jodie’s Doctor. Alongside them, we’re delighted that Sharon D Clarke is also joining the show.”"

Other comments from the cast came with the announcement. Bradley Walsh is extremely excited being part of Doctor Who, watching the show since William Hartnell. What did he have to say about being part of the show?

"I remember watching William Hartnell as the first Doctor. Black and white made it very scary for a youngster like myself. I was petrified but even though I’d watch most of it from behind the sofa through my fingers, I became a fan."

The actress, Mandip Gill, who is friends with the other new companion actor Tosin Cole, is over the moon to do something so different from what he’s done before!

"“I am over the moon to be joining the Doctor Who family. This is an iconic show with an amazing fanbase and I look forward to everything that brings. Certain roles seem unattainable and this is one of those, so much so I didn’t believe it to be true for the first few weeks."

Finally, the actor Tosin Cole is “excited to be part of the journey with this team”.

It seems like we’re going to have a full TARDIS come next fall when the series begins. As for now, there looks like there is no plan for a spring episode or premiere. Only a ten-week run in the fall. It will be a long wait, but it will be worth it!
