Watch all 174,373 deaths from Game of Thrones seasons 1-7

Despite whatever Syrio Forel may say, the god of death comes for a whole lot of people on Game of Thrones, whether it’s today, yesterday, or tomorrow. Cersei may have hit closer to the mark when she talked to Ned back in season 1. “In the game of thrones, you win or you die.” And if this YouTube video by Leon Andrew Razon Compilations is to be believed, 174,373 people lost in the past seven seasons. Check it out:

Razon catalogs every single death from the moment the Night’s Watch discovers the small camp of massacred wildlings in the season 1 premiere right up to Viserion and the Night King bringing down the Wall in the season 7 finale. In between, we have all the greatest hits, and all in less than 30 minutes!

The video is an update of Razon’s previous compilation of all the deaths in seasons 1-6. For those keeping score, he estimates that 23,407 people died during season 7. We’re guessing most of those were Lannister soldiers unlucky enough to be barbecued by Drogon’s flames. Poor bastards.

Granted, the death counts for huge events like the fall of the Wall or the Battle of the Bastards are estimates. It would be impossible to calculate how many nameless characters have died in this war (hopefully the Citadel is keeping records), but as long as Tormund wasn’t one of them, we’re happy.

Looking forward, we have to wonder what the final number will be. With the White Walkers having finally broken through the Wall, Cersei being Cersei, and Euron out there as a murderous wild card, we shudder to think how much higher the count could climb by the end of season 8.
