Jon Stewart offers fans a chance to sit the Iron Throne for charity
By Dan Selcke
On November 18, former Daily Show host Jon Stewart will host Night of Too Many Stars, a live benefit in support of NEXT for Autism, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families with autism. Night of Too Many Stars will air on HBO, which allows for some unique cross-promotional opportunities. To wit: one lucky donor will get flown out to the benefit, put up in a four-star hotel, and preside over the event while they sit on the Iron Throne.
Jon Stewart explains it in more detail below:
So whoever wins will get to demand Jon Oliver’s head on a platter. I don’t think that’ll come to pass, but it’s nice that they’ll try to humor you.
To win the trip, head to Omaze and donate! The more you donate, the more chances you have to win. A $10 donation will get you 100 chances, $25 will get you 250, and so on.
NEXT for Autism has partnered with Omaze on other prizes, as well. For example, you could also donate to win “an uncomfortable meal” with arch-rivals Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel, although we think the Iron Throne promotion is more enticing.
And at the end of the day, it’s all for a good cause. Again, head here to donate for a chance to sit the Iron Throne and order people to bend the knee to you.
