Meet the season eleven Doctor Who companion: Tosin Cole

In our next post of Meet the New Doctor Who Companion, we have Tosin Cole, who will be playing Kyle in the eleventh season of Doctor Who!
Tosin Cole has some interesting credits, and let’s just say he might not be too impressed by the TARDIS.
Well, anyone could be impressed by the TARDIS, but if I were on the Millenium Falcon, it would definitely be a fight to figure out which was more impressive. That’s right, Tosin Cole has many acting credits but the one that is bound to get a head turn from anyone is his brief role in The Force Awakens as an X-Wing Pilot. Does that mean he knows Poe? Does that mean he can get me to marry my future space husband??
I’m all for anyone who knows anyone on the resistance.

Before he hung out with Poe Dameron, he had other roles that are pretty spectacular as well. In 2009, he was in a theatre production of Wasted! which based on Julius Ceaser, as part of a company to keep kids away from drugs. I would say Julius Ceaser is the perfect play to do that with.
He was also in the British series EastEnders: E20, internet soap opera, a spin-off of the EastEnders. Tosin was on the second series of E20, a version of the soap opera aimed at younger audiences. He played brother Sol Levi to Heshima Thompson’s Asher Levi. After learning a dance number for the series finale, he mentioning how hard it was saying it was the most “very, very, very stressful”. He then came back in the third series one more time.
After E20, he got a role on Hollyoaks, ironically during Mandip Gil’s time. Mandip mentioned in her quote on the press release that she and Tosin are friends, most likely from their time on Hollyoaks. His role lasted a year before he left the show.
He then joined the resistance and had fun with BB-8, and now is ready get back into space! I’m guessing it’ll probably be more fun without people firing at you.
