According to multiple outlets, Nicholas Pegg, who’s played maneuvered of the Daleks since Doctor Who re-aired in 2005, has been exterminated from his job. (Sorry. I had to.)

What made the actor leave the show? According to an article in the Doctor Who Magazine, wrote a hidden insult into his column for the magazine. Using all the of capital letters beginning the sentences, he wrote out the following insult: “Panini and BBC Worldwide are c****”.

Now, if you’re like me, you’ll often give people the benefit of the doubt. Sure, it’s incriminating, but who would take all the time to write a hidden message? Especially one so long, after working for BBC Worldwide for 12 years, why would he write a message against the BBC in such an elaborate form?

Well, it looks like it is true, and he did mean to write the column the way it was written. At the end of the column, he added a writer’s note that said: “In a nutshell: If you look hard enough, there’s always something hidden in plain sight.”

Mr. Pegg’s reason for the outburst is unclear. Is it because it looks like he won’t be on the show starting in Chibnall’s era, according to the Huffington post? Is it because of the BBC’s reason not to release a DVD version of the lost episode Shada according to Daily Mail?

No one knows exactly what prompted the outburst from Pegg, but it’s safe to say that the Daleks will have a different operator in the upcoming season. Unless, for some reason, Chibnall has decided to take a break from Daleks all together, which would not be a good addition to changes he’s been making.

What do you think? Why would Nicholas Pegg go off on BBC in the Doctor Who Magazine? Do you think it has something to do with Shada, not coming back, or something else?

EDIT: It was pointed out Nicholas BRIGGS did the voice and Nicholas PEGG operates. This error has been fixed.
