Let’s close out Friday with a grab bag of Game of Thrones news bits. To start, the show’s seventh season has nabbed another awards nomination, this time from the Writers Guild of America (WGA). Per Digital Spy, it’s nominated for Best Drama alongside The AmericansBetter Call SaulThe Handmaid’s Tale, and Stranger Things.

Game of Thrones has been up for this award five times before, but has never won. We’ll see if the show can buck the trend when the WGA Awards go down on February 10, 2018.

And now for something completely different: here’s a video of Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) going on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan and geeking out about the time she got dance on stage with Madonna:

And that’s that.

Finally, let’s hit a couple of tiny season 8 filming tidbits. First, John Bradley (Sam Tarly) was spotted with a fan in Belfast, the nerve center for Game of Thrones filming.

I mean…it’s not like it’s a surprise that he’d be there, but there he is.

@IrishThrones has a couple of meatier updates, reporting that the production was making waves at Ballintoy Harbor, where the show has filmed scenes on the Iron Islands in the past…

…and possibly near Ballycastle, which could point to a return for Dragonstone.

Also, construction on that giant set at Titanic Studios continues apace. We’re looking to seeing them film on that monster.

Enjoy your weekend!
