Did you know that Evan Rachel Wood was the voice behind several animated characters?

Before Evan Rachel Wood was rolling a condensed can of milk in Westworld in an endless loop, she was lending her vocal chords to several animated characters.  Here a few animated characters that I bet you never knew were voiced by Evan Rachel Wood.

1. Asterix and the Vikings (2006)

First a graphic novel called Asterix and the Normans, it was adapted into a 2006 French-Danish animated feature film. Evan Rachel Wood went to to voice Abba in the Engish version of animated movie.

The story is a about a  a clan of Vikings who are looking for the Champion of Fear to teach them how to become the greatest warriors. Abba (the daughter of the Viking chief) disguises herself as a boy to venture with the group to find this warrior in Gaul.

In Gaul, Abba becomes friends with Justforkix (the nephew and black sheep of the Gaul tribe). After a plot involving the nefarious plan of the Viking chief’s advisor, Abba and Justforkix eventually fall in love.

Although the story may sound a little strange, the animated does showcase several big name actors: Paul Giamatti, Brad Garrett, Sean Astin and John DiMaggio.

2. Evan Rachel Wood Was In Shark Bait (2006)

In the same year, Evan Rachel Wood starred in underwater adventure, Shark Bait. Wood would go on to voice the story’s object of affection, Cordelia. Pi (voiced by Freddie Prince, Jr.) wants to rid the reef of a bullying tiger shark Troy (Donal Logue). Pi goes off to learn underwater martial-arts from a wise old turtle, Nerissa, after having enough of Troy’s constant bullying.

The story is like an underwater version of The Karate Kid.

3. Battle for Terra (2007)

In this animated film, Evan Rachael Wood is no longer a side character. She plays Mala, an inhabitant of the planet Terra. Mala and the rest of the Terrians notice some strange ships entering their planet. After saving the life of one of the new visitors, Mala learns that these are humans looking to find a new place to live.

Mala and her human friend Lieutenant Jim Stanton (Luke Wilson), join forces to find a way for both humans and Terrians to coexist.

4. Robot Chicken, “Botches Jewel Heist” (2013)

If you’ve ever followed Evan Rachel Wood on Twitter, you’ll know that she’s got quite a sense of humor. Wood isn’t always about playing the damsel in distress or the object of affection. In the Adult Swim animated TV show, Wood showed off her comedic talents as Minnie Mouse in a scene where Minnie and the rest of the Disney characters discuss sexual politics.

5. Strange Magic (2015)

Inspired by Shakespear’s A Midsummers Night’s Dream, George Lucas spins a fairy tale in a world full of mystical creatures. Marianne (Wood) plays a fairy princess has her heart broken after finding out her betrothed cheated on her. This fairy tale is about family and true love in the midst of princes, monsters and a Sugar Plum fairy.

Evan Rachel Wood used her acting and abilities to give a little life and charm to each of these characters. Just as she gave life to her character Delores Abernathy on Westworld.
