How the Enchanted Glass People could open a door for Doctor Who

BBC, Doctor Who

…Or, would have, if Moffat had stayed on. (And let’s have a bit of suspension of disbelief)

Even though Chris Chibnall is coming in and not likely to keep much, if he’s ever looking for a way to bring someone back, just call Testimony! While there are mixed thoughts based on the Doctor Who Christmas Special, I thought that the Enchanted Glass people were an ingenious idea. I wish they could have been highlighted more than just a “good” plan.

The biggest person I can think this could bring back would be River. We would be able to see her despite the fact she’s in the library. And, it would fulfill Alex Kingston’s want to act with Jodie Whittaker! In fact, Testimony could help bring back the numerous number of companions that want to travel with her!

Maybe this was Moffat’s sneaky way for Chibnall to bring back anyone he wanted. This way, Moffat’s ideas never truly die.

A different way the Christmas Special could’ve gone

They were actually a fantastic way to possibly help the Doctor since he could see anyone he wanted! It might sound like fanfiction, but how can you not want to fill the Doctor’s life up with the people he’s missed? Especially on the battlefield.

There was potential for the Glass people to bring back everyone the Doctor has known. Instead of only three of his companions, he could have said hello to any companion! It was a great Christmas present to see Clara and get his memory back. But it would have been amazing to somehow show everyone the Doctor’s helped.

This could have shown the Doctor even more how he’s helped the human race. Imagine the entire battlefield so full that we can’t make out faces, full of people that have memories of the Doctor. That would be a tear-jerker scene.
