Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) teases the end of Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones isn’t returning until sometime in 2019, and the cast is mercilessly teasing us about what’s to come in the meantime. The latest star to get in on the fun is Lena Headey, Cersei Lannister herself, in an interview with Mashable:

So how does Game of Thrones end, Lena Headey? Tell us!

"I can tell you that we had a giant read-through with all the cast in October. And I think pretty much everybody cried at one point. And it was pretty surprising."

Headey is echoing what Kit Harington (Jon Snow) said about the table read a few months back. And if the end of Game of Thrones made both Cersei Lannister and Jon Snow cry, what chance do we stand?

As for what “surprising” means, it’s probably better left to the imagination. Speculation is going wild just now.

When she’s not dropping hints about the final season, Headey is doing good with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), with which she’s worked for years. Below, the IRC shows off some of her visit to Germany, which hosts more asylum seekers than any other country in Europe. The IRC works with Headey and other celebrities to draw attention to the plight of refugees around the world.

Before season 7 debuted, Headey visited Greece for the IRC alongside Game of Thrones castmates Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), all cast members who have yet to share a scene together on the show, incidentally.
