New Westworld Trailer Confirms Logan Will Return In Season 2

Ben Barnes’ Logan was a big part of Westworld Season 1 and a Fan favorite character. Thanks to the new trailer released during the Super Bowl, it appears that he will return in Season 2.

Ben Barnes’s character, Logan, appeared in the second episode of Westworld Season 1. At first, Logan presented as just another visitor to the park, but it became clear he had a darker side. Unlike his future brother in-law, William, Logan’s appetite for violence and carnal desires became the sole focus of his stay in Westworld.

In the back-half of Season 1, it was revealed that Logan and William’s journey was set 30 years in the past. Westworld’s duel timeline served as William’s origin story, who would eventually become the Man in Black. We’ve known for over a month that Jimmi Simpson would return as William in Westworld Season 2. Unfortunately, we didn’t know if Ben Barnes would be reprising his role as well.

We last saw Logan during the Season 1 finale, where he was riding off into the sunset butt-naked atop a horse. At this point, we weren’t sure if he was alive or dead. During an interview with Insider back in December 2016, Jimmi Simpson confirmed that Logan was very much alive.

Even though we knew Logan was alive, we weren’t sure if he would come back in Season 2. Thanks to his surprise appearance in the new Westworld Season 2 trailer, we know for a fact that Logan will be making his triumphant return to the show.

Logan Makes A Surprise Appearance In The New Westworld Season 2 Trailer

At the 50-second mark in the trailer, you can clearly see Ben Barnes in a room full of hosts that have been frozen around him. We don’t know what he’s doing – or literally anything about the scene – but it’s definitely Logan. He appears to be at a party filled with hosts, who have just received the infamous “freeze all motor functions” command.

In the context of the trailer, it appears the party itself is more important than Logan being in the scene. In fact, if you weren’t looking for Ben Barnes handsome face, it would be incredibly easy to miss him. Thankfully, Ben Barnes made sure we didn’t miss him and posted the clip on his official Twitter account:

Now that we know Logan is back, it will be interesting to see what role he plays in Season 2. It’s likely we will learn more about Delos’ past, and given Logan’s involvement with the company, he could play a pivotal part. This scenario would also involve William’s evolution and more background on his journey to becoming the Man in Black. For now, we are just happy that Logan will be a part of Westworld Season 2.

We still have a few months until Westworld Season 2 drops. Until then, we will continue to speculate on anything and everything Westworld.

Westworld Season 2 will premiere on HBO Sunday, April 22, 2018 9PM/EST
