The future of WiC—Fill out this questionnaire!

Game of Thrones is coming to an end. It’s sad but true. We here at Winter is Coming have loved covering this journey, but in a year (or a year-and-a-half, give or take), it’ll all be over.
But that doesn’t mean the site is going away. For one thing, HBO is currently developing five prequels to the show, and while not all of them are going to make it to the screen, you can bet that we’re going to cover whichever one (or two) does. And let’s not forget that there are two more Song of Ice and Fire books on the way.
On top of that, there’s a lot of interesting TV out there right now, much of it only possible because Game of Thrones paved the way. Have you heard that Amazon is making a Lord of the Rings show? Or that Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is producing a show based on Patrick Rothfuss’ The Kingkiller Chronicle? And that’s without touching the big sci-fi/fantasy properties currently making waves, like Westworld and Outlander. If you’re a sci-fi/fantasy fan, your cup runneth over.
Now, we want to know: Do you want to hear about these other series? What do you want out of WiC in general going forward? Do you like free stuff? We’ve put together a survey involving all of these questions and more. Please fill it out! We’d really appreciate it.
To sweeten the deal, participants who choose to enter their email address (that part is optional) will be eligible to win a bunch of Game of Thrones merch. Details on that are below.

To win this stuff, here’s what you have to do:
- When you fill out the survey, enter your email address. Again, that part is optional. If you’d rather just give feedback, you can.
- On Tuesday, March 20, we will send out a Game of Thrones-themed trivia question to every email address we get. The question will be sent at precisely 12:00 noon CST.
- When you get the question in your inbox, answer it! The first person to respond with a correct answer wins the swag.
- We will write back to confirm that you have won, and to ask you for a full name and address. If you get back to us with that info within 24 hours, we’ll sent out the stuff! If you take too long, we’ll write to the person who got their correct answer in second-fastest, then third, and so on until we get a usable response.
This giveaway is open to anyone in the world over the age of 18! Again, thanks for helping us figure out how to make WiC the best site it can be heading into the future.

To win the Game of Thrones tarot card set, long-sleeve tee-shirt, and Night’s King ice cube tray, hopeful entrants must provide their email address on a survey located on Winter is Coming. Then, on Thursday, March 15 at 12:00 noon CST, we will email to every email address submitted a trivia question related to Game of Thrones. We will write back to the entrant who emailed their correct answer quickest by responding to the email message they sent. We will ask for that person’s full name and address. Entrants must respond to our message within 24 hours. Otherwise, they will be disqualified and we’ll move on to the entrant who gave their correct answer second quickest, and so on until we get a usable response.
