Doctor Who Watch Madness: Who’s moving on to the Championship match

Following weeks of intense voting, only one match stands between our final Doctor Who Watch Madness contenders and the title of 2018 DWW Madness Champion!

Then there were two! On Thursday, the semifinalists in the first ever Doctor Who Watch Madness tournament faced off on Facebook as fans rallied behind their favorite Doctor Who characters in hopes of helping them secure a place in the Championship match.

It was yet another crazy round of voting which included a surprise blowout as well as the surprise defeat of a fan-favorite throughout the entire tournament. So just who will be moving on to the  Championship match?

In what is sure to be our most exciting match yet, the Tenth Doctor will go head to head with The Master after the duo brought an end to Amy Pond and Sarah Jane Smith’s run in the tournament.

Surprisingly, the No. 1 seeded Tenth Doctor managed to breeze past No. 2 seed Amy Pond, who had been a strong contender throughout the entire tournament, by securing 84 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, The Master (No. 7 seed) managed to bring an end to Sarah Jane Smith’s (No. 5 seed) dominance with a victor margin of 16 percent.

Championship Match Voting

With the battle between The Master and the Tenth Doctor locked in, the time has come for fans to determine who the best of the best is by voting for the winner of the first annual Doctor Who Watch Madness tournament!

Because this is the Championship match, voting will occur over the span of the weekend with voting going live at 1 p.m. ET today (March 30) and running through Sunday, April 1 at midnight ET.

During this span, fans can cast their vote via both the Doctor Who Watch Facebook and Twitter page giving fans up to two votes this round. Fans are encouraged to vote for their favorite on both platforms in order to help determine which character will walk away as the 2018 Champion.
