Ramin Djawdi takes us behind the scenes of the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience

The Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience is coming to a city near you, and composer Ramin Djawadi revealed a glimpse of the creative process that went in to bringing the show’s epic stage to life. Keep an eye out for the guy randomly wearing a tuxedo.

Rocking a tuxedo in the studio? We can dig it. Anyways, after the success of last year’s Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience, another tour seemed inevitable. Like a proper rock star, Djawadi couldn’t just cart out the same the same old show to the same cities though. Thus, this year’s tour includes Europe as well as Canada and the United States. But what new tricks might Djawadi have up his sleeve?

Details on the new concert are scarce ahead of its May 8th debut in Madrid, although you can expect Djawadi’s epic score set to a full orchestra, pyrotechnics, and video from the show. From Djawadi’s latest video though, we can see the concert has merged last year’s stage that sat amid the center of the arena (like so), with a more traditional stage at one end. A portion of the stage does sit out in the middle of the arena however, and we’re guessing that’s where Djawadi will perform his solos, similar to last year.

And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, Djawadi cryptically called this year’s tour “a two-hour trailer” for season 8. Now you’ve got our attention.
