“Hey, they were in Game of Thrones”—Where else have you seen these 55 GoT cast members? (Part 2)
18) CHARLOTTE HOPE
If anybody really knew Ramsay Bolton, it was probably his lover and partner in sadism, the kennelmaster’s daughter, Myranda. Actress Charlotte Hope brought Myranda to life for us, with all the cruelty, jealousy, conniving and desperation that entails.
Hope talked about how she got the role in Myranda in an interview with The Independent. “At the time I was up for another series, which I thought was going to be my big break, but I didn’t get that. My agent said to me that there was an opportunity to do Thrones, but it was one scene with a lot of nudity, and I loved the show.”
The producers were so pleased with Hope’s performance that they made Myranda a recurring character.
Hope started acting in 2010 and has been busy ever since. Her film acting credits include Les Miserables (2012), The Theory of Everything (2014), Testament of Youth (2014, above), A United Kingdom (2016) and Allied (2016, below). On TV, her resume includes roles on series like Casualty (2010), Doctors (2012), Whitechapel (2013), The Musketeers (2014) and Houdini and Doyle (2016).
In an interview with Celebritain, Hope was asked if there were any Thrones actors she hadn’t gotten to work with that she would have liked to:
"Oh all of them. Game of Thrones was a surreal job because there are so many great people in it but you rarely work with many of them. I basically worked with the main characters in my scenes but luckily got to hang out with the rest of the cast at lunch times and press parties. It was fun but there are too many to list that I would have loved to work with."
Hope was able to knock one name off that list: last year she appeared with Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) in Three Christs (2017). Coming up in 2018, she’s in the TV series Endeavour and the feature film The Nun.
