30) KAE ALEXANDER
As the leader of the mysterious Children of the Forest, Leaf ultimately gives her life in defense of Brandon Stark. Leaf didn’t get a lot of screen time, but actress Kae Alexander made her real for us with her expressive portrayal of an ancient creature both regretful and determined.
In an interview with At The Theater, Alexander talked about the great collaborative effort required on a show like Game of Thrones:
"[F]rom working on Game Of Thrones I’ve worked closely with stunt performers and prosthetic effects and have collaborated with different departments. I really appreciate its storytelling, with the amount of work and passion that goes into it. I get obsessed and in every job I learn a bit more of how everything comes together."
Alexander’s TV roles include parts on Doctors (2013), House of Anubis (2013, with Thrones alumnus Eugene Simon), Bad Education (2012-2014), Fleabag (2016) and Retribution (2016). She’s appeared in a number of movies, such as The Healer (2015) and The White Room (2016). Alexander also tread the stage boards in a Hampstead Theater production of Gloria in 2017 (above).
Alexander has a lot of new projects coming out this year, so watch for her in TV series like Hard Sun, Collateral (above) and White Dragon. She’s also appearing in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One right now.
