42) JACOB ANDERSON

English actor Jacob Anderson was cast to play the traumatized and emotionless warrior-eunuch Grey Worm; over the last five seasons, we’ve watched him evolve into the commander of the Unsullied and a man capable of winning Missandei’s heart.

In an interview with Square Mile, Anderson says he doesn’t feel a lot of professional pressure to excel after Game of Thrones ends:

"I don’t feel responsible for its success. I feel like it’s more on the shoulders of Dan [D.B. Weiss] and David [Benioff] or Kit [Harrington] and Emilia [Clarke]. It wouldn’t be a bigger or smaller show if I wasn’t in it, so I don’t feel the pressure. I’m just glad that I get to be in something that I really, really like. I enjoy going to work, I like the people I go to work with, and that’s the most important thing."

Anderson started acting in 2003. His TV roles include appearances on Doctors (2007), The Bill (2007), Whistleblowers (2007), Primeval (2008), Casualty (2008), 4.3.2.1. (2010), Injustice (2011), Episodes (2012), Broadchurch (2013, above) and The Mimic (2013-2014). Anderson has also been in movies like Adulthood (2008), Chatroom (2010), Demons Never Die (2011), Offender (2012) and Comedown (2012, below).

Along with acting, Anderson makes music under the stage name Raleigh Ritchie, a moniker inspired by his two favorite characters in the film The Royal Tenenbaums (2001). He’s working on his second album, and he tells Square Mile that he’s not sure what he’s going to do next:

"I like making things. So I may as well just go and make my own film or TV series. I don’t know why I’d sign myself up for somebody else’s project, unless it is the person or story that I think is really great. I don’t care if it’s not a big thing, either; it just has to be good."

Anderson is appearing in the World War II action flick Overlord in 2018.
