Welcome to Take the Black Live, the show where we, giant nerds that we are, talk through the last week’s worth of Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire news. And because we’ve off for two weeks, we have a lot of news to choose from. Watch us blather above!

Remember: the podcast version ofTake the Black Live is now on iTunes! If you can, please subscribe and download. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also on Blog Talk Radio.

This week’s topics include:

  • We’re drinking. That’s not really a topic, but it’s important.
  • During our time off, the production finally finished the enormous King’s Landing set they’d been working on for months. There have been actors on it and everything. What can we look forward to seeing here.
  • Wilf Scolding, the actor who played Rhaegar Targaryen, accidentally leaked the fact that he was in Belfast. We talk through the implications.
  • George R.R. Martin revealed a bunch of new information about The Winds of Winter. Brace yourselves.
  • In romance news, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) are getting married, and they’re honoring Game of Thrones while they’re at it.

It’s good to be back. Thanks for bearing with us during the break. As you can see, we spent the time away sprucing up the place a bit. We have a brand new set and Josh misplaced his glasses. The production values are off the charts!

We’ll return with more Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire news this upcoming Wednesday, May 9 at 4:00 p.m. CST on our Facebook page.
