Hafthor Julius Bjornsson (the Mountain) is officially the World’s Strongest Man

Hafthor Julius Bjornsson (Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane) has achieved his ultimate goal of winning the World’s Strongest Man competition, per The Washington Post. Long before he became known for his role on Game of Thrones, Bjornsson was making a living as a professional strongman, and performed a variety of notable feats of strength thereafter. Bjornsson has finished second in the World’s Strongest Man competition three times, but he finally took home the gold this past weekend in the Philippines. Watch below as Bjornsson moves boulders, pulls a bus and basically makes you feel like you’re not doing enough at the gym.

After building a “near-insurmountable lead” by coming in first  in the first three events (vehicle dead lift, max overhead and loading race), Bjornsson finished fourth, second and fifth in the final three events (frame carry, truck pull and atlas stones). But it was enough for the title. With this win, Bjornsson becomes the first man to win the World’s Strongest Man, Arnold Strongman Classic and Europe’s Strongest Man competitions in the same calendar year. Kudos to him!

In more somber news, Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) spent last week in South Sudan, spreading the word about the ongoing humanitarian crisis there. Get filled in below:

But it wasn’t all heartache. Cunningham still found time to say hello to his fans:

Finally, if you happen to be in the northeastern United States and want to know if Tyrion Lannister can sing, the AM Network has good news for you: Peter Dinklage is playing the lead role in a musical production of Cyrano de Bergerac, based on the classic 1897 play. It’s being produced by Goodspeed Musicals in Chester, Connecticut and will debut in August. Dinklage’s wife, Erica Schmidt, directs. I guess it pays to know the director…or to be an internationally recognized star.
