The Future

Welcome to The Future, a Delos destination set decades from our own time. Visitors enter via a high-speed monorail that will deliver them to the futuristic city of Atlantis, which encompasses the entire park. There are no restrictions on what you can do. You will be provided with the means to undertake whatever delight — violent or not — your heart desires.

Before boarding the monorail to Atlantis, each visitor is fitted with a proprietary Delos neural patch that is applied comfortably to the back of the neck. This allows the visitors to bring up a HUD (Heads Up Display) that will grant them access to the virtual reality narratives of the park. The HUD can only be seen by its user, and it feeds important and vital information directly to the visitor’s eyes.

Using their neural patch, visitors “plug in” to Delos’ extensive neural network, allowing them to experience futuristic narratives like flying their own craft into unknown regions of space, where they will take part in massive interstellar battles. Other virtual reality narratives include racing futuristic cars through the city, co-op shooter scenarios where teams fight to control the center of Atlantis, and kicking back in impossibly relaxing spas outfitted with equipment that plugs directly into the pleasure centers of the brain.

While visitors can experience a vast number of VR narratives, Atlantis is very much a real and working city full of attractions you won’t be able to see for centuries in the wider world. You’ve been to zoos, but never zoos that feature the latest in genetically engineered animals, and while you’ve been to shopping malls, you’ve never been to one miles about the city floor, with fashions that won’t be on the rack until 2065.

In Future World, everyone — young or old, sick or healthy — can make their dreams become reality.

Do any these parks sound like places you want to visit/battle rebellious robots in?
