HBO has released seven new photos ahead of Sunday’s all-new episode of Westworld, “Akane No Mai.” All but one of them feature Maeve (Thandie Newton), members of her group, all hosts from Shogun World, to which they wandered into at the end of “Virtù e Fortuna.” So it’ll be a big hour for Maeve, but let’s start with our lone look at Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Teddy (James Marsden). They’re deep in conversation, possibly about what a bonehead Teddy is.

Here’s a random samurai warrior standing at the head of an army. Has it assembled in response to Maeve and company crossing the border into Shogun World, or is this just a normal Sunday for them?

Hector (Rodrigo Santoro), Maeve’s lover, is adapting, as well:

Looks like Armistice (Ingrid Bolso Berdal) is going to have a little more trouble adjusting to Shogun World. Notice that Delos human and actual human being Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) is behind her.

Finally, we’ve got a shot of Akana, played by Rinko Kikuchi. The title of this week’s episode translates to “Akane’s Dance.”

As per usual, the synopsis for the new episode is very simple. “Welcome to Shogun World.” The episode descriptions for Westworld make the ones for Game of Thrones look like novels.

“Akane No Mai” will run for a full 60 minutes. It was written by Dan Dietz, directed by Craig Zobel, and will air this Sunday at 9:00 p.m. EST on HBO.
