What are the cast and crew of Game of Thrones doing now that most of them have wrapped filming for the show? So many things; let’s explore.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) is using his time to do good as an ambassador for an animal welfare and conservation fund called the Lion’s Share.

According to CNBC, the Lion’s Share fund is a joint initiative from the United Nations Development Program, the FINCH production company and Mars. It “asks advertisers and partners to contribute 0.5 percent of their media spend each time they feature an animal in an advertisement.” Within three years, the organization hopes to raise $100 million for animal welfare and conservation projects. A lion of Lannister as the ambassador of the Lion’s Share fund. It’s kismet!

Also doing good deeds: Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), who beaome an ambassador for the UK’s Royal College of Nursing a couple months back. Below, she explains why she was drawn to the cause at the RCNi Awards in London, which honor excellence in the profession.

“We’ve all got an experience with nurses,” Clarke said. “I’m incredibly concerned about the future of nursing. We have seen in the last year that there are more nurses leaving the profession than are joining it. That’s a problem. We need nurses now more than ever.”

Some of the attendees grabbed a quick photo opportunity with the Mother of Dragons.

Moving on, Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) traded in her armor and sword for high fashion at the Miu Miu’s Cruise 2019 Show in Paris, France.

Chic stuff, as always.

Elsewhere, former cast member James Cosmo (Lord Commander Jeor Mormont) received his Member of the Order of the British Empire from Queen Elizabeth II. Three cheers!

And speaking of former cast members, Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) is returning to the stage at London’s West End in Dawn King’s dark comedy Foxfinder. Three jeers!

Sorry, instinct.

Rheon will play the titular foxfinder, named William Bloor, who “arrives at Judith and Samuel Covey’s farm to investigate a suspected fox infestation. William is fixated on his mission to unearth the animals that must be to blame for the Covey’s woes. But as the hunt progresses, William finds more questions than answers.” Oooh.

Finally, Deadline reports that Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor, the guy behind episodes like “Baelor” (the one where Ned dies) and “Beyond the Wall” will direct a Sopranos prequel movie.
