Let’s take a look at what it was like to work on the set of our beloved Westworld with the people who help to create our beloved show.
Westworld season two gave us some of the most talked about episodes in the show’s history, and possibly even television history. Let’s take a look at what it was like to work on the set with the people who help to create our beloved show.
Executive Producer, Director – Richard J. Lewis
Richard J. Lewis is the executive producer and director of two episodes in season two. “Journey Into Night” and “Virtù e Fortuna”. In this clip from the official HBO Westworld site, he gives us a little taste of what it’s like to work behind the camera. Richard talks about the hardships and successes of filming such intrinsic, beautiful scenes.
Set Decorator – Julie Ochipinti
Julie Ochipinti says: “There’s no pretending that it’s a normal show, it’s not.” Julie is an Oscar-nominated, Academy Award-winning set decorator who’s worked on films such as The Prestige and The Dark Knight Rises.
In the clip below, from the official HBO Westworld site, she tells us what it’s like to bring a world to life that needs to appear and feel as realistic as the Westworld hosts do.
Costume Designer – Sharen Davis
Sharen Davis is an Oscar-nominated costume designer. She’s in charge of creating the looks each of our favorite characters wear in season two episodes. She had to design for the past, future-past, future and future-future.
Ha! Sharen knew from day one that working on Westworld was not going to be mundane in any way. The host rebellion, in particular, was one of her most rewarding challenges to design for. Check out her interview on the official HBO site as she sheds light on the process.
