Nevada: Tyrion Lannister
As the rejected son of a powerful lord, Tyrion Lannister finds comforts in worldly pleasures. In fact, we’re first introduced to him, he’s cavorting with Ros, a prostitute. He likes the ladies and he likes the drink.
These inclinations guide him through big parts of his life, sometimes in unfortunate ways. I think specifically of his relationship with Shae, a prostitute that he begins to grow close to outside of the bedroom. Ultimately, she betrays him, which leads to her death. It almost costs Tyrion his life as well.
With that kind of spirit, I think Tyrion would get a kick out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Can’t you just picture him now, taunting some guy twice his size at a craps table? He’d have a blast.
That being said, Nevada isn’t defined just by Las Vegas, nor can Tyrion Lannister be defined just by his worldly desires. They both have a more serious side, with Tyrion in particular valuing justice, stability and good government. You can’t spend all your time on the strip.
