Maisie Williams launches Daisie, her social media app for creatives

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) has officially launched Daisie, a new app designed to make connections between creative types, on the iOS App Store. Williams and her partner Dom Santry developed the social media app so that artists, actors, writers and the like can “share original content, learn, discover and be inspired to start new conversations.” This cartoon fox demonstrates:

Besides being able to collaborate on shared projects and search for creators based on mutual connections or location, the app is loaded with features that original content creators will find useful, such as:

• Two timelines, one for your connections, one for everything else
• Choose the content that you want to see, when you want to see it
• Experience dynamic media – like photos, videos and projects
• Share your work, growing as a creator and generating connections
• Bump or comment on the posts and projects you love

Williams herself lays down some of what the app offers in a “QT” session, something the app will feature with other artists in the future. And she talks about sword-fighting with Brienne while she’s at it:

In other news, Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) jumped off a cliff into the freezing waters of a mountain lake on Running Wild with Bear Grylls. But before she made the plunge, she talked about a really horrible interaction she had with a member of the press.

“Yeah, you have to do these things for all the awards and everything where loads of people interview you,” she said.

"I went in and I was seven months pregnant, and this guy stood up and he went, ‘Uh, I just want to say that you’re really disappointing in real life.’ And he went, ‘And Is that your real hair?’ And I went, ‘Yeah,’ and he went, ‘The wig is much better. I like you as a blonde.’ And I was like, ‘Okay.’ I was just crushed. How is that alright to say?"

I bet that reporter would have never told Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain) that he was disappointing in real life. Someone would definitely be crushed then.
